 NAMED A MARYLAND BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL

 
Blue Ribbon
OCES was selected as an “Exemplary High Achieving School” by the Maryland State Superintendent of Schools. Factors contributing to this award include scoring in the top 15 percent of all Maryland schools on the PARCC assessments, achieving a Kindergarten readiness assessment showing 79 percent of our students to be kindergarten ready for the 2018/2019 school year, our partnership with the University of Maryland Center for Health Literacy, the “Stand Up, Speak Up” program, and our amazing OC Stars!

Ms. Spicer
Ms. Spicer received her undergraduate teaching degree from Salisbury University and Master’s degree in Applied Technology from Wilmington University. She has been part of the OCES family since 2012 teaching Kindergarten and 3rd grade. Ms. Spicer is committed to providing all students with a strong educational foundation for a lifetime of learning. She has a great passion for teaching and works hard to ensure that all students feel cared for and understand their full potential. 
We are so lucky to have her!
